booking . com dispute

I booked an apartment in W London for 6 days, costing £1000

On arrival, we found the property not fit for purpose

 - open wires in the bathroom
 - mold in the bathroom
 - loose and unstable floor boards
-1" of dust in bedrooms,  Multiple cobwebs
 - filthy (and i mean filthy) kitchen cupboards
 - chipped crockery
 - dirty cutlery

So we left the next day, having advised BC that the place was not fit for purpose. We provided a full video of the issues.  BC offered my 25Euro as compensation, and the raised it to £45      BC's position is that the landlord says the apartment was clean.  I have asked for a full refund plus compensation

Does anyone have any advice as to successfully claim on BC ?    Is this likely to succeed via a credit card claim ?

Thanks

I understand the Booking.com claim they merely act as a meeting place for vendors and purchasers and that the contract is between those two parties.  If Booking.com refuse to help any further it will certainly be worth taking up with the credit card company.

An inch of dust would suggest it hadn't been cleaned for 75 years...or is an exaggeration.

booking.com are merely acting as your agents. They are not the people letting out the property.

booking.com take your money and pass it on to the property owners. You have no claim against them
