Electric car least likely to be stolen / have parts stolen
Hello
I'm considering buying a second hand or new electric vehicle. I'm trying to find out more information about vehicles that are least likely to have parts such as their catalytic converters stolen and least likely to be stolen. Would be grateful if you can signpost to any information or if you have any information to share. I'd also be interested in anti-theft measures that can prevent theft of catalytic converters and electric vehicles. Thanks in advance

EV's don't have catalytic converters as there is no engine.8

He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
I have no stats but I hear electric EV charge cable thefts are not unheard of. At £100+ a cable it's probably as profitable as catalytic convertor thefts.
Look at it this way. If there is easy money to be made or high profits to be made then there will be thefts.
Anything you can do that makes it more difficult is a deterrent.
I wouldn't be surprised if EVs start being stolen for their batteries and motors.0 -
Get any car you like, and then get GAP insurance and enjoy it.
At an extra ~£50/yr, it will ensure you are covered to get the same car again should you have a total loss due to theft or a write off.3
