hi everyone, when the forum changed over to this new version it bamboozled me so much that I stopped comping. I couldn’t work it out, but I’m here to try and get my head around it again.
but my favourite was always the mag dailies, not the click to win, the enter everyday with a question one said but from what I can see that’s no longer on the dailies part? Could someone please advise me where to look if I’m wrong or maybe tell me what to search for in the main board to locate them?
thanks so much everyone and happy new year!

Thank you for that link, I did see that but back in the day each competition was listed rather than a link to the magazine. Does that not happen anymore?back to comping after a 2 year break!! Mission… to win a gift for all my family for Christmas!0

These comps are posted by our JamboDP on the main board. He always includes (MD) in the title. You might be able to find them using mse's search facility. If you can't work out how to use it (many of us can't) there is a 'get around' with this long link:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search?domain=discussions&query="(md)"&page=2&sort=-dateInserted&scope=site&Search="(md)"&categoryOptions[0][value]=72&categoryOptions[0][label]=Competitions Time&categoryOptions[0][data][parentLabel]=Forum Home&includeChildCategories=true&types[0]=discussion&types[1]=comment
Alternatively, you could just search on the main board pages looking for (MD), using Control + F.

This doesn't matter too much as the results are in date order from the newest going backwards and the expired ones don't start appearing until about page 25 but a similar Search on Competitions Time only would be:-
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search?domain=discussions&query=(MD)&sort=-dateInserted&scope=site&Search=(MD)&categoryOptions[0][value]=72&categoryOptions[0][label]=Competitions Time&categoryOptions[0][data][parentLabel]=Forum Home&types[0]=discussion&types[1]=comment
The big problem with using search at all is that the results do not show the Entered/Skipped buttons and it is only when you click on a thread that you can see if you have already entered or skipped.
Also, when clicking on a link in the search results, it is best to open in a new thread rather than doing a simple click and relying on the Back button to go back to search results. Clicking the Back button always takes you back to the start of the initial search even if you have moved on to page 2 upwards, while opening in a new thread means you can just close the new thread and you are still in the search results where you left them.
You should also be aware that the thread in the link mentioned above by @janE1956 is now in Game Over and is no longer updated.Bob2 -
Wow thanks guys this new forum is horrible to use isn’t it? I see a lot of people saying there’s far less comps posted I guess that’s because this new forum is not as user friendly ☹️Thanks so much for all your adviceback to comping after a 2 year break!!
