Isn't Attendance Allowance intended for paying someone to look after you, either full or part time? I don't see why the OP should feel guilty if her mum's AA is used for the purpose intended. When I looked after my mum she gave me £50 a week as I had no other income other than what my husband earned. It helped to cover petrol to get to her, and all the things I did for her e.g. taking her washing home with me, paying for parking for her shopping etc.Used to be Bogof_Babe. It did need updating!1

It can be used for anything you want to use it on. I never said the OP should feel guilty. I said why would you take money from your mum for looking after her. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

It doesn’t matter what people spend any of their benefits on.Sncjw said:..I'm just thinking if someone does find out she has been giving you money for looking after he then they might take it thr wrong way.
