You mean you clicked on the wrong search result, the chances of someone having edited the DVLA site, or altered the DNS records to redirect are vanishingly low and would have been national news.

Multiple users similar posts , DVLA redirects nobody . User does not look and clicks .

Well I never, I applied for my renewed driving licence on a Tuesday and I got it on the following Saturday. I did not use that google thing!

There's other websites the same.
Best advice is to make sure you are on the official website.

Look carefully u will see Ad before the fake sites, also good one will have.Gov.

On Bing, even the official website (gov.uk) has 'Ad' against it.

You  or even GUV.uk  any misspelling can lead to a wrong site .
