Painting over eggshell?

Just moved into 90s house, every wall is painted with dulux eggshell magnolia (old paint tin found in shed)
I’d like to put a bit of colour on the walls and have settled on a mid tone green dulux heritage velvet matt (Dulux’s equivalent of the chalky finish you get with farrow & ball).

I’m an inexperienced painter. Do I need to prepare these eggshell walls in any way (sanding? Cleaning? Primer?) or can I crack open the matt paint and get straight to it?
