We saw an ex display sofa from Next we loved at a discounted price. We signed a contract (agreeing it was non refundable once we left the store) and paid for the sofa. After paying for the sofa they realised they had already sold the sofa and it was pending collection. The shop made us take a refund and apologised. We really loved the sofa and it seems unfair as we had bought it. Do we have any rights?

Rights as to what? It was already sold, so you cannot claim it is yours. If they are still selling the same style sofa, try and negotiate a discount on a brand new one..If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
