Rules for claiments mention that one will intend to continue being self employed . How long after 5th claim (Sept), do I need to continue running my business to stay within the rules ? Anyone please ??

Would this query be better placed on the Small Business board?1

You had to intend to continue to trade when you made the claim. There is no specific time limit, although personally I would wait until after 5 April 2022.1

It's "intention" rather than actuality. Have you evidence that you "intended" to carry on trading at the time, i.e. advertising/marketing, ongoing negotiations/contact with potential clients or future projects, etc? Did you renew any contracts/business subscriptions around the same time that would help your assertion that you intended to carry on trading (after all why would you renew if you "intended" to cease??). Lots of different ways of looking at things rather than simply the reality of what actually happened afterwards as opposed to what you planned to happen, i.e. intent.1
