Can I remortgage? Paid-off IVA still on credit report

Options
So I paid off my IVA about four months ago. It and some of the now settled debtors remain on my credit report, even though my credit score jumped from 220 to 813 (Experian/Clear Score).

I have a credit card which I use only for fuel and pay off in full each month.

I have tried applying for credit to make a one off purchase of the value of £1,500 MAX and been refused.

But what I'd REALLY like to do is remortgage, either for the outstanding amount to get a better deal or to release up to 10k of the capital.

House is probably worth £160-170,000. Outstanding mortgage is £110,000.

My salary is significantly higher than it was when I got into the IVA and I am in a much stronger financial position now.

So what do you think - can I remortgage?

I could save around £300 a month IF I am accepted!

Look forward to your views.

When did you enter the IVA?

I think you are going to struggle to get normal rates for at least 12 months.
If there are very few negative markers on your credit report, you might be able to get normal rates but I would not fancy your chances.

There are lenders who will consider you now, but I think rates are more likely to be in the 5-7% range.

I dont know if your credit report will start to clear, I have not seen it.
But I dont think you are going to get normal rate for at least 12 months. In 12 months you MIGHT be able to get them, butt he devil is in the detail as they say.
