Please advise when I can go back to work

I'm struggling to understand the isolation rules online I just want to know when I can go back to work.

Tested positive 28th Dec (lat flow)
29th PCR done (waiting on result)
I have symptoms, luckily on the mild side. (Not vaccinated if that matters regard isolation times)

What date can I return to work?
If I test negative on the 2nd and 3rd can I return on the 3rd or the 4th?
Or do I need to isolate 10full days from the 28th so I can return on the 6th or 7th.

Thank you everyone

What day did your symptoms start?

it looks like you cannot work from home at all?

I think day 6 is 3rd and day 7 is 4th so you can go back on 5th if both are negative.

“If you test positive, your self-isolation period includes the day your symptoms started (or the day you had the test, if you do not have symptoms) and the next 10 full days.”

So 28th in not included, 7 Full days are 29th - 4th inclusive.
    thats how I read it.

if you do go back on 5th there are still caveats on the website about being cautious.

Do you live in England? Rules differ in different countries.

    Northern Ireland.

Ireland is a different country and definitely not part of the U.K.
