Returning used car

I bought a used car yesterday, brought it home and realised most of the font was loose. There are brackets missing etc. I am taking it back today to the dealer. He said that he will refund me. I paid by bank transfer.
How do I go about the issue with the log book being sent off? I want to get my refund before handing the car back over.
Does anybody have any advice? I do not want to end up with no car and no refund.

Most dealers are still stuck in the dark ages and process the V5 keeper change by post rather than the quick and easy online way. Chances are they will still have it in their office.0
