Hello Everyone
I would like to purchase a new device. I was using the surface pro for work and really liked it. I would really just like device that I can download my apps onto such as TV apps (Netflix, Amazon, BBC, & other terrestrial tv apps) I would also like to have MS packages such as word, excel. I will mainly be using it for general browsing and watching shows. I have a standalone PC that I can use for typing etc, but I really like to idea of being able to sit anywhere and type if I need to.
I like the idea that the surface pro comes with a detachable keyboard leaving just tablet use if I need (will be a lot as watch my tv shows while cooking)
I have been looking at surface pro's and they are honestly out of my price range. Can anyone recommend alternatives based on my needs above? My budget is about £400. Not into nothing fancy and not necessarily name brand, just something that looks nice and will do the job. and preferable with MS Word and the latest windows stuff. I am not tech savvy so talking about rams n stuff will go over my head abit. thank you.

Because it is a bad suggestion obviously ;-)I would sayVery nice, very bright (often cheaper so look for a new years sale).Run android apps and web apps. (You would want to run netflix etc on chrome and not the app unlesd you are happy with SD for instance). MS web apps run great (the android versions are good too but will moan at you to use the web apps, whihc are probably better anyway). And less of a toy than an android or ipad device.Ther are also cheaper windows tablets out t here but I have not looked in ages.

You can buy a wireless keyboard for around £10-20, then use that with almost any tablet. Low end iPads are surprisingly good value, and well within your budget.
For better ergonomics, you can buy an ipad case with a keyboard built in.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
