Virgin Credit Cards- you have to WRITE to start a claim

VIRGIN CREDIT CARDS be warned, I had a retailer that failed to deliver a service.
The ONLY option to start a 'claim' was to send a land letter (complete with dozens of photocopies of ALL the relevant paperwork!).
This is so archaic in the 21st century, and took a lot of time (&cost, photocopies, postage etc).

Are you saying that it is unreasonable that they ask you to write a letter? By whatever method you send the information to back up your case you still need to gather it all the evidence together.1

It's unreasonable that an online pushing brand can't take evidence submitted via a website and photos / screenshots of details, given they can usually pay in cheques in that manner

Sorting through and reviewing a wadge of documents isn't easy on a computer screen. Rather different to processing a cheque.Deleted_User said:MEM62 said:Are you saying that it is unreasonable that they ask you to write a letter? I agree, OP.
Virgin made customers switch to apps and ended online services so it's ironic that they insisted you faff about in that way. They're supposed to be so 'modern' and technological savvy! It's enough to make one write another letter, this time of complaint, to Virgin.

Also, they don't process the cheque, the issuing bank does.Thrugelmir said:

Just FYI, or perhaps FEI.0 -
Its difficult to judge without more info from the OP, but they mentioned dozens of photocopies, so this may have been a particularly complex case, and possibly doesn't imply this is standard practise across the board.0

I do this all the time with invoice reviews, commercial invoices etc. It really isn't difficult vs paper copies that you have to manually hunt through vs using a search facility on a computer if the scan is goodThrugelmir said:

I know for example, Housing Benefits when physical forms are received they just scan them on in the post room and the assessor only looks at the electronic version.Thrugelmir said:
