Medical Tourism Insurance for the US

Hey, 

I am looking to travel to the US for an operation. It seems that I unable to get any insurance for this trip. Either normal travel insurance (cancelations, covid etc.) or insurance for complications raising out of the operation (obviously this would expensive).

Does anyone know of a provider that offers any insurance at all for medical tourism in the US?

    I would expect insurance to provide cover in the USA to be incredibly expensive.

    Can the hospital or clinic you are going to offer any cover or have a suggestion?  If they regularly treat foregners they may have some knowledge of how to deal with this.
    Presumably there is a compelling reason to travel to the USA for an operation as you couldn't choose a country with more potential for ruinous expense if there are complications.
