Hi folks, I have a lovely little VW Lupo for sale.  My natural incilnation is to place an advert on Autotrader however I know full well that I won't get much for a 17 year old city car - no matter how lovely it is!  Has anyone any experience of web services like Motorway - they value the Lupo at £780 and I'm inclined to go for that - if it's a genuine offer...

Try the Motoring board as well .
  • Hi folks - Happy New Year!  My 14 year old 1.4 TDi Lupo must go!  Although it has value as a collector's car due to its Open Air sunroof, realistically it can't be worth more than £1500.  Has anyone any experience selling a car via one of the offer guaranteed webservices eg MotorWay?  Their offer is £790 and I'm minded to take that offer if the service is straightforward and genuine - any comments?

I'd try eBay or market place. Although having done a quick search on eBay none have sold for over £500 on there since Oct so they're either in poor condition, rare or not making much money. Only you'd know how your one compares but you could always try for the higher amount if they're going elsewhere for that
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
  • Sometimes using these type of buyers (WBAC etc) just makes life so much simpler and more importantly a lot less hassle.
