G24 contractual parking charge notice

I received a contractual parking charge notice from G24 for parking at Brookfield farm shopping centre Cheshunt Hertfordshire on 16th December '21. Mayor Building works on site makes parking difficult...I parked along side a fence just a few feet from the designated parking bays. The confusing notice on the fence said Customer Parking Only 150 minutes. I was about 20 minutes...google maps Timeline has recorded my journeys. The charge notice says, I was parked outside a marked bay.
I've been asked to pay £100. or £60. If paid within 14days...I've taken a copy of the sign and can post it here if that's alright.
Can anyone advise me what I should do.
My instincts are telling me these operators are rouges.

Start by reading the sticky Announcement thread for NEWBIES at the top of the page. This will guide you through the whole process. Do not tell anyone who was driving. As you start to read up about this shoddy unregulated business you will understand why.

    Plan A is a landowner/retail manager/business CEO complaint.

Plan B is an appeal using the template in blue text you will find in the NEWBIES. Send it unaltered from The Keeper. Make sure you do not tick any box that gives away the driver's identity.

In addition, complain to your MP.

Take photos of the site entrance and signage, not just the one where the vehicle was parked. Go on foot to do this!

  • I also received a parking charge notice.  I have been parking there on/off for the last 20 years and never had this.  The 'Customer Parking Signs' are the same wherever you park at Brookfield.  No yellow lines.  I went there yesterday and took a video and some pictures.  I also emailed my local MP.  They aren't using any surveillance cameras due to the angle on the parking notices someone is actually going up to the car and taking a photo.

Should we pay the charge or leave it and see what happens?

Why not follow the guidance in @Fruitcake's post immediately above yours?

And read the NEWBIES thread first.

There is NO OPTION to just pay it, on this forum, because that funds and sponsors the scam.  You'd be funding the next few PCNs.  Until the industry is properly regulated next year, we DO NOT tell people to pay private parking charges.

You owe nothing.  Read the Announcement thread that all new posters are asked to read first.  See my signature for where your link back is; no asking for a link.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hi, I cannot find the newbie section for the appeal template in blue. Could you please let me know where to find it or a link please.
I’ve had an unfair contractual parking charge notice for parking in Brookfield shops car park. I didn’t know there was a time limit, never saw a notice board. They want £100 for overstaying by 13 minutes. Would like to see how long it takes them taking an autistic teenager shopping to spend their birthday money. Do disabled badges not appt there? Thanks.
