If I buy a t-shirt, don't like the colour shade and send it back within 14 days I get a refund. That isn't the seller's fault either. So I would suggest the issue isn't whether or not it is the fault of the seller. 

The OP has not said he was within 14 days of purchase. He could have booked the testa in advance of his holiday and it was  longer than 14 days until he cancelled them.

Yes it was just an example of when you can return something. Faulty goods and goods not fit for purpose can also be returned after the 14 day window. Broadly up to 6 months whereby the retailer would need to prove the goods are not faulty rather than the other way round.
