DBPowerAmp (and other ripping tools I expect) have an option to set the Encoding to any setting from 1 to 8, with 5 the default. Leave it at 5 if use that for FLAC rips - there's no benefit to changing it.Neil_Jones said:FLAC is probably better in this regard - file size is reduced by up to 60% compared to the original raw file - and supposedly is closer to CD quality but I wouldn't know about that.1 -
