Macbook Air Insurance - Please help?!

Hello,
My very lucky younger brother got a Macbook Air for Christmas and I'm trying to sort out insrance for him - can anyone help with recommendations etc.?
I've looked into Applecare+ but he plans to take his Macbook into school to do work etc. so I'm keen to get some insurance that also covers for both loss and theft.
Note: he also has an iPhone 12 mini that I'd like to insure but it's 18 months old so I know this is a big ask, Macbook is the main priority!

Probably cheapest to add it to your home insurance. Most offer some kind of laptop insurance option.0
