If I turn off notifications for the app at the OS level (so in Android not opening the app and turning off notifications) then I get no indication when pressing to download the statment. Are you sure notifications are allowed for the app? (Sorry you don't say if you're using Android or iOS, the latter I have no experience of.)

What a palava. I was clicking on 'Download as pdf' expecting it to download to 'Downloads' folder automatically, as it does with many other apps. Nothing. I could hear the 'ta-da-da' sound.

After reading this thread, especially what someone said about notifications, I tapped 'Download as pdf', then as soon as I hear the sound, swipe down on the screen to access notifications, and lo and behold there is a notification. So I click that then I'm prompted to open it with my default pdf opening app which is Word.

I open it, then have to manually save it in a directory. This has to win the award for the most complicated system to access statements.

edit: Not sure if it's the same on other phones, but on mine I have to go to notifications immediately (within about 30 seconds). Otherwise the notification disappears and I have to do the solemn dance again.

It must be something to do with the settings on your phone because I don't have to go through that rigmarole.  The notification stays on my phone for ages, -until I open it or clear it, and I don't have to save the download to a directory, either, it opens when I click on it.

Mine also opens when I click notification, however, I choose to save it within my pdf reader app (which is called 'word').  I suspect if I just close word without saving the file (statement) it will be lost (because it had only been opened as a temp file) or it will be hanging around in some non descript location where all temp files are kept.

The notification disappearing only happens with the Lloyds app and I haven't changed any settings for this app either.

The notification disappearing within 30 seconds turned out to be a red herring. Let me explain.

This morning, I tried to access the Lloyds app using fingerprint. Not able to. Tried other apps. Same. Fingerprint not accepted.

Shutdown phone. Started it again. Then tried accessing Lloyds app using fingerprint. Straight-in. Other apps also fine.

Tried downloading Lloyds statement. Notification appeared within notifications. Waited a few minutes and checked notifications again. Lloyds statement notification is still there. Waited a couple of hours then checked notifications. Guess what? notification still there.

So, the age-old 'have you tried rebooting' still seems to hold some currency.
