Thank you all for your lovely birthday wishes
We are having a nice dayTea in bed, breakfast in favourite cafe (including a shared cake), back home for a bit of loafing, then a walk round a local reservoir (the sun came out!) and an ice cream
as it was warm and sunny we decided to get some veggie burgers from the village shop and have our first al fresco tea of the year... It was freezing by the time we got back and got the fire going, but we persisted anyway, and made use of the open fire popcorn pan my sister bought me too.
Back inside now trying to warm up

Hmm, message from Bulb. We are £167 in credit, but apparently our payments still won't cover our energy use through the year... They recommend we up our DD from £72.11 to £82.40 a month.
Er, no thanks. If we're that much in credit coming out of the winter, we'll wait and see. Obviously we've had various energy saving measures since last year so hopefully that will counteract the price increase. Anyway, I suppose we'll see - but I'm not inclined to give them an extra £10 a month at this stage!7 -
