I'm not sure why they were there originally but that's definitely why I decided not to throw them out. You just never know when buffet leftovers might appear at our place, and it would be a shame for them to go to waste! 😂6

Been enjoying the hair chat as I’ve been pondering on whether to dye as I go grey.I’m 33 and only have the odd grey at the moment, but I always thought I would start to dye as they become more prominent. I used to dye my hair crazy colours years ago but have been au naturalle for a long time!
My hair is very dark so they are noticeable (currently I just pull them out!). But I’ve noticed a couple of mums locally (older than me) who I’ve seen at playgroups etc (not together but on separate occasions) are going grey naturally, both had very dark hair too but were about 25-50% grey and I thought they looked really lovely and actually very stylish. So now I’m thinking maybe I don’t bother 🤔
I already cut my hair myself but like you Cheery, it’s very long and needs very infrequent trimming 😅Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

I'm in my very late forties and haven't dyed my hair since the crazy colours of my teens. I am happy about going grey. I'm another with long hair and I only have it cut occasionally usually I have my sister cut my hair about every 9 - 15 months, this time I let DD cut it for the first time, not perfect but perfectly acceptable, I will get DD to trim it again next time, probably under supervision from my sister 😉Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

BlueGreen I have literally just turned 40. I have dark hair and the grey was starting to get noticeable so I dyed it silver. It looked really good actually. Except then I had surgery and couldn't wash my hair never mind dye it so the colour is out and I'm left with the blonde underneath! It's not too bad and the grey itself is a nice colour. I just need a bit more of it so that I look "grey" not "going grey" if you see what I mean?
Cheery, love the spare cake bags. Every office should have some

I've still not dyed mine... or even decided whether to 🙄 I've often gone a bit kind of dark red, which I like, and those are the boxes I have in. I don't object to grey in principle, and have dyed it plenty of times before I started going grey 😂
On this occasion, my thinking about it was prompted by finding 3 spare boxes of dye in the bathroom 😂
I'm getting increasingly intolerant of STUFF at the minute. We are NOT a minimalist household by any stretch... quite the opposite... Usually I blame Mr Cheery, but I do have my own fair share of stuff... It's starting to do my head in though - plenty of stuff doesn't have a home and we spend stupid amounts of time shifting things from one place to another, looking for stuff we can't find etc. I've had enough!
I've had a bit of a clear put of clothes, and started clearing out my study last week, which gave me plenty of books etc to get rid of. Then yesterday I chucked a load of stuff from my office at work which felt great, and I got home wondering what else I could get rid of...
I can see this becoming a bit of a mission. . Don't think I'll ever be minimalist but I could certainly do with rather less stuff!
Anyone else on a decluttering mission??13 -
Cheery, coincidentally I’m on SUCH a declutter mission right now as all our stuff is making me raging 😂😂😂
Today I’ve done a black bin bag about 2/3 full of kids’ games (they have far too many) and some of their old art supplies.Think it’s a bit of an attempt at control as life has been a bit stressful and overwhelming of late 🙈Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Yep, same here 😂 And after living with no kitchen for years I am desperate to get some order into the damn place! I'm even looking back fondly on those 8 months after we sold our last house but before we actually moved, when 90% of our stuff was in boxes in the cellar and the house felt more like a holiday home and nothing like 'our house'- but goodness me it was easy to keep clean and tidy 😂😂
I'm just making a cuppa after a meeting, then back to it for a bit. Mr Cheery is clearing out clothes and putting up shelves and rails in the new bedroom 😊😊 I can feel a spot more decluttering coming on this evening...10 -
I feel like in this season of life that holiday home vibe is exactly what I need 😂 doubt we will ever get there in terms of actual decluttering. But I am contemplating at least putting things which other family members won’t part with away in the loft so we can see what it’s like to be minimalist for a while 😂Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

We'll never get there either (well, except if we have to move house again I suppose!) But we can certainly get closer!
Not much to report today. Bit period painy today so been a bit uncomfortable but thankfully nothing worse (after hefty does of multiple tablets).
We did nip out for a cafe tripover lunchtime... but not an extravagant one and well within the cafe budget. Also topped the car up, which even at the cheapest place (169.9p) cost £68 😮
Prolific finally tipped over £10 this evening, and I have cashed out £11.89 which I've added to my signature total- up to £113.49 in extra dosh in April so far. Not done the Happy Wheel yet today though so could go either way...
QMee standing at £4.96. It's a bit annoying but at least it's quick, and it adds up quickly too - I usually do a couple while making a cuppa.
What else? Flapjack for lunch in the cafe, and Mr Cheery made a goulash for tea so didn't dip into freezer meals today.
Finally parcelled up my books for Ziffit so will get Mr Cheery to are those when he goes to town tomorrow.
So, decluttering mission 😁 Might see if I get get FIVE things decluttered each day until the end of April, that's 90 things in total!
Will report back 😁7 -
