Usual subscription story , rolls on the following year unless you cancel .it is allowed .2

Since they appear to be based in Switzerland I suspect the answer to that question depends upon Suisse law.
That said their T's and C's say as long as you disable autorenew at least 24 hours before the renewal is due you could sign up with the relevant details and immediately disable auto renew0 -
Can't see how this would be fair - what if you didn't have a card?
If you don't want to do this and it wasn't mentioned in the T&C of purchase, ask your sister to ask for a cancellation and a refund0 -
Might not be fair but problem may be non UK company and not subject to UK laws .

Guessing the OP does have a card. Simplest thing to do is sign up with the card and then cancel the auto renewcx6 said:Can't see how this would be fair - what if you didn't have a card?

So has your sister already got a subscription with them?492800 said:Hi all,
I hope you can help, just trying to work out my rights here.
I was bought an online gift subscription by my sister. A years subscription for https://tomplay.com/ - a music website, £87 a year
She paid the annual fee for a one year subscription.
I received an email from the company in the form of a gift card with the activation code.
But to activate the code I have to fill in MY credit card details, even thought they will not take any money..yet.
I guess they hope i will forget and will accidentally resubscribe next year.
Is this allowed? As the subscription was advertised as a gift and fully paid for, do i really have to give them my card details?
They have confirmed in an email that this is the case.
Any advice please.
Thanks in advance
And you are now paying for her 2nd year? If that is the case then of course you have to enter your card details, or how else are they going to take the £87?
Otherwise it seems a mean gift if she has paid for it..Life in the slow lane0 -
And next year when the payment fails they will still owe them the money and by that time the cancellation right has passed.Alter_ego said:Try just making up some card details
Better just either give the details and enjoy the subscription taking a note on twhen you need to cancel going forward, or don't give them your details and lose the service.

Attempted fraud? Or indeed actual fraud if by some fluke, the card details turn out to be valid.smashinglynaive said:Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0
