nannywindow said:Morning all, I'm late, back to normal already !
I have stripped the bed ready for remaking and then I'll clean upstairs. The xmas meats will be cooked today, turkey crown and pork loin both need to go in the oven. My 2 gammon joints will be put in the slow cookers until they need the final cooking in their respective marinades, think I'll put my chef in charge of that. The kitchen floor will need cleaning again and I'll run the cleaner over the downstairs too. DD will call round later tonight to collect the 2 presents she left here for DGS.
Tomorrow DD and DGC will be here about 10am to open their presents with us, Yippee, then Dad will come over for his lunch and tea. Tea tonight will be leftover Chinese takeaway. I think Boxing day SiL will come for lunch too as the match at Liverpool has been cancelled, I'll just stick him in the corner........ no chance of that he's 6ft 4 ish with size 14 shoes 🤣
Right tea break over, must get on.
Gers hold on to the good memories, have a special hug.
Pollyanna lovely to see you, I have ditched the suitcase until the end of the holidays. Love from, Amy Pond 😂
NMLC hope you all feel better soon.
I hope everyone has as good a day tomorrow as they can. Thinking of those who are poorly or looking after poorly relatives, those who have passed and their families left on earth, it will be a sad time for them.
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you have a peaceful and happy day. 🎄
Take care all
nan xxLovely to hear from you Nan aka Amy Pond. Tomorrow I shall begin the traditioanl Christmas trawl throiugh all ther David Tennant dvds including the Christmas Specials . it was a relief to discover " our Doctors" weren;t the same Doctor and we could be friends. Look after your suitcase no doubt you'll brave the fence again. Mar has become quite civilised now after her threats and poison sweeties from Alnwick, was hard work but somone had to do it.I have been thinking back over the years when I posted on the daily and TA and I connecting when her beloved Bob was attending the Liverpool hospital my much loved Bob had been treated in. They had a long journey each time and we'd chat a little. There have been so many lovely people posting here over the years and i always wonder what became of Specky the poor lad constantly being asked if we should buy a big hat when he ventured on a first time date. he probably headed for the hills!pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.7 -
Gers i feel for you... the first Christmas without my dad was so tough. Your memories will always be a comfort but thats not enough I know. No words will make it better but you know you are loved and supported by all of us. Enjoy your plans for tomorrow your mum would want that.

Aw thank you for thinking of me POLL. I too often wonder what causes a regular poster to just disappear. Some we know about but not others. We can only hope they are too busy enjoying life and, for the moment, don't need our company. I hope that's the case. I often wonder if Specky ever did settle down with one of his dates. He sounded such a lovely young chap.
Thinking of all my friends on here, old and new. Take care one and all xx

Got some steps in today - first trip round to SA - no one there. While I was there 4 people turned up for the food bank - it is usually on a Friday but emergency parcels only this week.
Still had to wait outside on my next visit to SA - band had been in town doing carols. I went to help with preparation for tomorrow's meal but nearly everything was done. A volunteer turned up - we sat and chatted - her Dad died last Christmas Day - will be so hard for her tomorrow.

Hi everyone ...just a quickie to wish you all a merry Christmas for tomorrow
Special best wishes for everyone who is missing loved ones.
Little one stayed last night and have had her all day...she spent most of the afternoon pretending to put out Santas snack and talking to his reindeer.
She rang before going to bed to tell me she had put the reindeer food outside and she was going to bed...hope she settles for dd.

Good Morning. Happy Christmas to you all.
SS made it yesterday, I am still very worried about his little girl, the hospital has referred her back to his GP......not useful. He stayed for about an hour. Apart from that our day was very quiet.
Veg is prepped for supper, waiting for DB to decide what time he wants to eat.
I hope everyone has a really happy day.2
