Help Understanding Barclaycard Promotional Rates

Hello All,

Sorry if this a rather simple question to answer.

I got a Barclaycard forward a couple of months ago and decided to use it for Christmas and a holiday.

I have a limit of £1200 and currently owe £923 on it.

my promotional 0% rate ends on 12/01/22 and they sent me an email advising that my purchase offer balance of £615.28 will be transferred over to my main balance should I not clear it 

now what’s confusing me is that does this mean that they will add that to my balance of 923 and put me over my limit or will they simply just start charging me interest at 29.74% on the £615 purchase balance and include that in my main balance which would remain at £923?

I’ve never used Barclaycard before so this is all new to me.

I assume that at the time they composed the e-mail you had a cleared balance of £615 and have increased it since.  Everything you have outstanding at the end of the promo period will become interest bearing after that date, it is just a weird way of wording it.
