IHT - Best way to avoid

My apologies for not clarifying, yes my mum inherited from my dad so there was no IHT to pay after his passing. But our main concern now is what if something happens to my mum in the next few years, and me and my brother are left with a six figure sum to pay.
But if theres a 1M pound threshold total value of property and assets like you say, I guess it's not as big an issue as we first thought.0 -
what exactly could happen? Care home fees? IHT and Care Home Fees are not linked - your mum would possibly be liable to pay for care home fees.0

I would say that is a positive thing, if you think about it who wants to be reliant on a LA to decide when and where you get care.PennyForThem_2 said:what exactly could happen? Care home fees? IHT and Care Home Fees are not linked - your mum would possibly be liable to pay for care home fees.0
