Removing a hidden aerator from tap

Hi
I'm hoping someone can help. Or bathroom tap is barely running so I wanted to clean out the aerator. It is hidden within the tap and I can simply just twist it off. It is an Ideal mixer tap and was wondering if anyone knew how to remove them.

  • It depends where it is, but you can often simply unscrew the end of the spout and remove it.

Use limescale remover, rinse thoroughly and replace.

Adjustable spanner , or wrap a cloth round the spout and use grips.
Is it the hot that’s a poor flow

The aerator is flush with the end of the tap. It doesn't have a spout. The kitchen tap did and I managed to unscrew that.

Yes it is the hot that's poor flow. Cold seems fine but when I turn the tap to hot it really slows down

Can you link to the tap being sold in a shop?  Or maybe a photo

They usually supply a special key with the tap to remove it, contact manufacturer to get one.
Are you on gravity hot water or combi or mains storage.

We have a combi boiler downstairs and a water tank upstairs. Not sure if that answers your question

    Combi and tank ?
I think those taps have a hot water limit stop on them, could need adjusting. But you will need to remove the tap head.
Going for my jac bit now.
