Shop lost my item for repair.

Hi all.

I took my nintendo switch for repair to a local shop on 6/12, it wouldn't hold a charge and the shop was going to replace the charging port and it would take roughly a week. Awesome. No problem.

However it is now the 23/12, the shop seem to have lost my nintendo switch, I am not sure if they have insurance?????
Currently waiting on a phone call from the owner.

I have the paperwork stating the drop off, date and repair.

Where do I stand?

Thanks for reading.

Andy

You gave them a Nintendo switch needing repaired, they would have to return same to you either with item or monetary value.
  • Agreed.  If they have lost it, they have to replace it or reimburse you to the value of your faulty console.

The above is correct - bear in mind that if they do replace with a working console you’ll still need to pay the cost of repair.
