Been there, done that, got the T-shirt   5 and 6 can be very similar / indistinguishable on some items / fonts.
25W is from the Partmaster website item I linked to, and Logik cooker parts come from ... Partmaster not eSpares   ;)

    £4.49 for 2
    £5.35 for 1
    Madness.
Philips brand are 1.75 a pair in Screwfix - if you can find a branch with the clearance stock.  £2.50 each for Calex brand in John Lewis.

A 15W lamp is more readily available but will not be as bright.

So our oven bulb has gone & looking for a new one. Oven isn't a fancy thing. Was in the house when we bought it & looks like they got Currys budget range I guess.

    Oven: Logik LBFANX12

Bulb appears to be an E14, allegedly. The cap (which i can't get off at the mo) states on the face of it "MAX 26W".

So the wife jumps on the tinternet & finds this.

Varying wattage, varying bulb heads, varying prices and I suspect delivery charges on top.

Well, I have Amazon Prime for a little while yet so I wont pay for postage there. I searched "E14 Oven Bulb" and obviously a ton came up but they say fits this model, that model & that's the bit that made me stop to ask - surely an E14 bulb is an E14 bulb, the only question would be to match it up with the bulb head that's in there right now. Is it one of these or is it one of these, i'd need to check.

Which brings me on to my 2nd & final question ... I know it's a bit silly but tips on getting it out?

I had a bit of a go the other day and it felt like there was some resistance so I stopped as I didn't want to force it and have it go in my hand. I didn't want to start squirting the squirty juice either to free it off in case someone reading this says that they did that and their food ended up tasting like WD40 for weeks.
Did you find out where your old bulb went to? 😄
  • Login is currys own brand, and partmaster is a website owned by currys, so all currys own brand products refer you there for expensive replacements

    definitely cheaper elsewhere

Well got it out this morning after a fair bit of struggling.

What a bloody awful design. Right in the top corner right next to the grill element so you can't really get a good grip on it at all. After a few chuffs sake and come on you bleeps it came out.

Felt like when you take an old bolt from a car. That rusty as hell feeling. Put it back in for the time being and it didn't feel good screwing it down.

Any tip on before I put a new bulb in? I feel like I should do something with the threads, some kind of lubrication or something because just how bad it feels. Or just say sod it, screw it down and forget about it?

Do not use any lubricants on the thread. The heat of the oven will burn any oils and make removal darned near impossible next time.
