Currys return without receipt/proof of purchase

Bought an item online from Currys that I have just returned by their return service DPD. I used their online returns form which I had to state reason for returning and that I require a refund. I then got a text from DPD with a pick up time.
I’ve just realised that maybe I should have included a receipt/proof of purchase in the parcel? Will I be refunded without even though they probably have my details? And will they be able to link the package to me? Presumably filling the online returns form and DPD tracking will link me to the parcel but as there’s no receipt will I be refunded? Their return details online only state a receipt if returning the in store. I can’t find anywhere that states a receipt/proof of purchase is needed for online orders to get a refund. But I recon to be on the safe side I should have included one. Could I be out of pocket? Can anyone help?

They may use barcode technology, a lot of companies do now, which would link it to you when it's back in their hands.

Thanks your probably right about the barcode link but I’m dubious about a refund without a receipt but hoping!0
