However, if you are up for making another call and recording it this time PLEASE PLEASE DO!
...because I am wanting some evidence of how the likes of DRPlus speak to people on the phone, who call up to talk about the reasons why they dispute the charge.
Please can someone do this. We know all they do is demand money and mislead people but we need EVIDENCE.
I HAVE NONE SO FAR. Need it for Government urgently.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

the majority of the conversation was the lady insisting that going to court will cost ME more money and that she only had my interests at heart.
she then randomly started quoting cases that were extremely specific to people that were being charged for parking in their own spaces, that had been lost by the defendants in court.
I did ask her why she didn't mention Laura Jopson's case (https://www.miltonkeynes.co.uk/news/milton-keynes-woman-secures-landmark-victory-flat-tenants-parking-dispute-873057?amp) but she just laughed and said " its your loss" and gave up the pretence. at this point her voice was quite raised.
I'm guessing as a debt recovery agency, if I refuse to pay, they haven't performed their job, & get no cut.
So I’ll most probably be attending court soon. Hopefully they make it one court case for both “charges” seeing as they are within a day or two of each other.
I'm wondering whether I should contact a solicitor when I get the LBC? I have quite a through list of of defences and evidence but I'm concerned if I list them on here for feedback they may read & attend court prepared?1 -
"I'm wondering whether I should contact a solicitor when I get the LBC?"No! Absolutely not. Not unless your home insurance policy includes free legal cover. Even then, take the advice with a pinch of salt if they say you have no case.

You use a solicitor for such matters0

Only considered a solicitor as my work union provides one. I'm very well written and spoken so I'm sure I could hold my own in court regardless.0

update: a new begging letter from DRP. pretty much same as before. asking for 170 per parking charge notice.
Interestingly noted on the bottom of the letter is that DRP are a member of (or claim to be) BPA, whilst UKCPM are not.
I have a significant number of strong defences that I will be typing up soon in preparation for court- no LBC issued yet but I'm going to be ready!
I have a query though- due to the fact that UKCPM are pretending to offer a service, they are surely covered by trading standards requirement. would it be prudent to complain to the council that they have breached this by ways of deception in obtaining a commercial contract in which they state they will protect landowners/residents parking spaces? when in fact the very people they are charging is said landowners/residents?
Also, the parking area used to have metal plated underneath each parking space, stating the number so it is possible to see which space belongs to which landowner/ resident. Since this parking dispute has began...must of the parking space metal plates have mysteriously disappeared- unfortunately I never caught who was removing them. surely this is predatory in the attempt to make people park in the incorrect space?
in addition to the above predatory behaviours, I left my car park a few days ago (to days after a phone conversation with DRP in which I informed them I wont be paying). upon leaving this my parking space several things occurred:
- I noticed a man out on the main road outside the flat leaning against a wall observing the entrance. I drove slowly past him and noticed he had a lanyard with Debt recovery plus on it, and their logo on the card.
- I circled back round the block to my parking space- the man on the road had disappeared....but there was now a van parked in my space (16 other empty spare spaces to the right and left of mine) looking through the window of said van showed no identifying detailed- in fact the van was pretty spotless and had no markings and no possessions left on seat or elsewhere.
- I parked a few roads away on off-road parking
- Van stayed in location for several hours and I didn't catch the van driving off. unfortunately I never took a photo of the man outside when I drove past0 -

We do this all the time.- I noticed a man out on the main road outside the flat leaning against a wall observing the entrance. I drove slowly past him and noticed he had a lanyard with Debt recovery plus on it, and their logo on the card.Never seen that happen in all my 16 years here. Are DRP quite local to you then, because they are merely a debt collector and don't make site visits (unless your site is so local he thought he would).
Are you SURE the lanyard said DRPlus? They are not bailiffs but their umbrella company, Bristow & Sutor, include enforcement officers.
Take a photo or six of him next time!!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
