etrade transferring funds to UK bank account suggestions?

Hi I am asking a similar question posted a few years ago but as bank accounts have changed I wanted fresh suggestions on best way to transfer money from USA etrade to my UK bank account
- I have employee shares ESPP so try and cash in each year up to my capital gains allowance (etrade is very good for showing you and calculating the gain) but the fees/exchanges rates charged by etrade are high - what is the best way to transfer money please? I dont need money via wire transfer as they charge an additional $25 for that!
They are technology shares which I originally held from 1995 so are growing in value faster than I can sell .
Previous thread users had suggested Transferwise is that still best option - and what do I need to do to set this up as there was some issues on the forum with account name not matching? Thx

I think WISE (new name for Transferwise) is still the least expensive way to transfer money, but I recently just did an international transfer from my US account to some UK bank accounts and the cost different was so small that I didn't bother with WISE.“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”0
