G24 parking fine

Hi everyone, I have received a parking fine from G24 for parking outside a bay in Aldi's carpark Salford, at the time I was in my Royal mail van delivering to the store, I was no more than 5 minutes. I did not use a customers bay or park on a hazard box or a disabled spot and not on any yellow lines. I have spoken to the manager of the store, who was very helpful but told me it has nothing to do with them anymore. I know there are lots of post's on this, but the last one was 2018, I just wondered if the law had changed in the last 3 years with regard to these fines and I have to pay it, or if they are still scamming people. thank you.

The last one was 2018? What? We have 100 or more new posts/threads here every day. If you mean the NEWBIES thread, look instead at when I last edited it - this year!
It is not a fine. No-one would pay this but find out by Googling, who owns the car park as it's not Aldi. Someone contracted with G24 so Google the name of the retail park and find out who runs it. They will have the contract with G24 and can cancel this.
The Government is about to regulate the private parking industry in 2022 and things will change then for new PCNs. Are you in Scotland or England?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

The law hasn't changed , yet , but some cases have made an impact , in your case Jopson , loading and unloading is not parking
Read the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements , using a laptop not a phone ! And do a search using the word Jopson , read about her case and how delivery of parcels is not parking , it's a legitimate option
But ideally complain to the landowner , plan A , get it cancelled at source
No you don't have to pay it unless a judge says so !
What I don't understand is how you obtained a PCN if it's a company can ?
Did royal mail name you as hirer keeper ?
If they did , read the Edna basher advice at the bottom of the first post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread , reading about POFA and about hirer or lessee liability ( or not )
Hint , you are NOT the registered keeper !2 -
It is a long read, but this is a sophicated scam using contract law and the courts. Unless you are prepared to pay you have to jump through a large number of hoops. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.3

@RedxWhat I don't understand is how you obtained a PCN if it's a company can ?
Did royal mail name you as hirer keeper ? they haven't named me yet, just passed on the paperwork and photo to me
If they did , read the Edna basher advice at the bottom of the first post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread , reading about POFA and about hirer or lessee liability ( or not )
Hint , you are NOT the registered keeper ! but I am the registered owner, as we have to sign for the vans, so any tickets are ours as in speeding.0 -
Passing on the paperwork does not render them impervious to a court claim , as keeper they are liable under POFA 2012 unless they use the tear off slip and name the hirer ( you ) , until they follow the law , they remain liable under the law , so are currently still legally liable
No such animal as a registered owner , there is no database of owners ! You are a hirer or lessee , with a company vehicle , not an owner. Your name is not on the V5C , hence why the notice went to royal mail , you signed as day to day keeper of a company vehicle , a lessee or hirer ( either royal mail is the legal owner , or someone else is , not you , they don't give you a twenty grand can free of charge to keep , it's not a gift )
Tell them to name you as a hirer keeper ( day to day keeper ) so that you get an invoice PCN with your name and address on it , absolving them of any legal liability under POFA
You really need to learn this stuff by reading the bottom of the first post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread , the Edna basher advice ( because at this point in time , you really haven't got a clue )
Do not treat this like a speeding issue or council penalty or bus lane violation , it's none of those , so is dealt with differently3 -
I'll have a word with the shopping complex management on Wednesday, when I'm back in work, if no joy I'll take it from there, thanks for your help and I'll look at all the links to get some idea of what I'm dealing with.2

Yep , plan A is the best option , a managing agent or landowner cancellation at source
Tell your HR department tpor fleet manager to name you as Hirer to g24 by using the tear off slip on the PCN , or using one of the Edna basher template appeals , whichever suits the circumstances3
