Ipad 9 generation

Got bought an ipad 9 the generation.  Noticed the charging cable is different.  The lighting cable is using usb c this means I cannot connect it to my computer using itunes. Cam anybpdy help?  Thanks

I find the compatible cable does not always work. I can connect old iPad to computer only using the genuine apple charger it does not charge if I use a compatible one bought from eBay.

That won't even work, that is USB-C to A and the OP doesn't have a USB C port.

You can use Wi-Fi for iTunes, you don't need to physically connect the iPad to the laptop - that's the £0 cost free option - proper money saving!
