I’ve never done this before so please bare with me? I am looking for advice about replacement window companies.
we were going to use Anglian but have cancelled and are getting our deposit back, they tried to fleece us out of a large sum of money that was o er and above the real costs involved.
I am in the South East of England, Kent to be precise.

Use a local independent company. You'll usually find them on local industrial estates.Using someone that does the manufacturing themselves would be good.Anyone that is genuine won't give you any sales patter with fake discounts etc.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You are paying for all those bonuses and junkets/parties along with massive advertising budgets. Don't get hoodwinked by the sales pitch or the claims that their windows are better than anybody elses...Go with a local installer that comes with recommendations - I use a local one man outfit, and am well pleased with his work. Having seen some of the Anglian installations in the neighbourhood, I am less than impressed by the quality of the work (and that is being polite).

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -

We recently had some replacement doors done by a local firm to us in Kent, recommended by a work colleague who had all their windows changed.
Call Rory of Sunlight Windows Ltd of Gillingham.
Do be aware that there is a significant lead in time at the moment - we waited 5 weeks.
The lad who did the doors was very conscientious and clean, tidy finish.
Good luck,3 -
stay local and go with recommendations from people who have had work done by them. Pop into a eurocell or gap plastics and ask the manager if they would mention a local tradesman over others . Look around locally for new work being done and don't feel cheeky knocking at tea time and ask them how theyre doing

use a company recommended by either Which? (consumers Association) or Trading Standards:or personal recommendation.Check membership ofAlways get 2+ (up to 5?) quotesCheck contract wording, especially things like damage - what will/won't they make good eg internal/external damage around the frames, like window ledge, plasterwork, render....How much deposit do they want? 25%? 50? 75? and when.

Always go local, you'll end up cutting the wait times and the travel costs. You can also find quote comparison sites like Double Glazing on the Web and go through them to see what sort of prices the local installers are charging and which might be best for what you need:
