Creating a personal reference point within Google Maps?

Android v. 11 in case it matters.
Ok so basically I'm trying to add a reference point for my mothers house. Yes I do know where she lives before anyone says but some times the traffic is a bit crap and I'll just set up Google Maps & it'll alert me to take a different route than the direct one. I have a reference for home & work so that's all good there.
A while ago, I don't know how I did it, but I actually created a point & labelled it "Mum's". Spelled exactly like that (again in case it matters).
Issue is, if I open Maps, click the blue square bottom right to begin a journey, the top box says "Your location" by default, i'll tap the box underneath "Choose destination"
and this is the problem. I'll start typing out Mum's, I'll even try Mum or Mums and i'm getting...
Mum's Cafe in Blackpool
Mum's Whole Food in London
Mum's Home Kitchen at Sowerby Bridge
but it doesn't bring up the point I created as an option.
I could put in her post code (which is what i currently have to do) but I should be able to just select it.
How?

Select the destination via the postcode and select Save and add to the list of places. Then when you want to go to that destination, select the Saved button at the bottom of the main maps page and choose the destination from saved list. If you've already used it a number of time it will appear if you select the Go button, also at the bottom of the Maps screen.0

Well now I see why couriers have such a hard time delivering to my mother's.
Is there any way to do this by using a dropped pin rather than a post code?
If I go by the post code then it takes me about 1/4 mile down the road.
If I want to avoid traffic it'll probably do but my OCD is going in to overdrive on this.0 -
Yes just drop the pin, press on it and save the location.0

Type in the street name as location, and it retains it in the frequently-used list which appears under the location boxes.0
