Excruciating noise from cladding work

I'm hoping to find some advice here, although I'm not that hopeful after searching online and seeing posts from tenants not being able to do anything.
I have been living in this flat in Manchester for 5 months now, when I started searching for it, I refused to live in a property that stated cladding work will be carried out in the future.
This did not state anything and nor the agent mention anything to me.
A couple of months ago, work started and I believe they did started putting notices around the building prior to that.
I haven't been living in the flat for almost 3-4 weeks so the work did not affect me as much, but this last month I have pretty much lived/worked in the flat and the noise level is unbearable.
The flat is expensive to rent and I was hoping it would be quiet as it was in a quiet area but it's not longer the case.
I am now using medication for headache every other day, using ear plugs and where possible I go to my parent.s
Is there anything I can do?
Thank you

If the agent and/or landlord were not aware of the proposed work, they couldn't mention it to you.
I'm no expert but I don't think there's anything you can do if, as I suspect, you're talking about a rent reduction. However, you can always ask and might be lucky if you have a sympathetic landlord.
Other than that, you'll just have to comfort yourself with the knowledge that if potentially dangerous cladding is being replaced, your flat will be protected from being engulfed in fire with the new cladding.0 -
I feel your pain. I would move if I were you.0
