Lost Parcel - LookFantastic refusing to refund.

I had an order I've returned to LookFantastic, the return was arranged via them (they substitute £2.99 from my refund cost) which as I thought meant them liable for loss due to arranging the courier.
I chose a MyHermes collection from the 3 options, it was picked up from me & I've been given a collection receipt by the Hermes driver.. although if anyone else has seen one, it's the same as the "We missed you" card but on the reverse of the card has a unique barcode & a date collected. Either way, that's my proof of collection I suppose.
My issue is, the tracking link never shows that parcel as being collected, the last information the tracking shows is "Your Local courier will collect your parcel between 3pm - 5pm".
This has been nearly 2 weeks now, I've contacted LookFantastic who are telling me I need to contact hermes.. who everybody knows are impossible to contact & have emailed a generic we will investigate response. I'm being sent around in circles, LookFantastic are saying the parcel wasn't collected from the scans & my 'receipt' isn't proof it's for this specific parcel as has no other details on like address or anything else.
What does anyone suggest, or where do I stand - it's a parcel of a value of around £200. I even photographed the box with label on & the item inside with my returns slip before sending as I have a habit of doing this until I receive a refund.

Did you buy using a credit card? Look fantastic not helping would be enough for your credit card to help. Tell them you handed the parcel to hermes and they have the contract with hermes and must follow up with them not you.2
