Peoples Energy credit on account

  • I’ve been watching and checking my credit with peoples energy, I now do it daily, make a note of the amount, it’s gone down by £60 since 11th December, no one seems to be able to explain why or how or even if this is a false credit reading, which, if it isn’t, there’s going to be some unhappy customers! I asked British Gas and they said to contact peoples energy which I’ve tried to do but get an automated response telling me to contact British Gas! Mine was about £300! So far I’ve paid £117 to peoples energy on the 7th Nov and again on the 7th dec (I’ve since cancelled the dd), I’ve now paid £188 to bg for 7th Nov to 12th dec and now they want me to set up a dd stating it will allow discounts on the tarif,  I’ve not had a final bill from peoples energy, the last bill was for Augusts amount! It’s honestly a complete mess, I’ve read that some peoples details have been lost…

My big worry is that they are migrating so many people now that they are losing the plot & our money.  Mine is going down by my average daily use for August approximately.  How they can continue charging when we haven't been a customer for over 3 months I don't know but it did used to do this before too.
