Changed plates on car, all legit but askMID and DVLA Check Vehicle havent updated yet - what documentation do I need to take with me to make sure if I am stopped i dont get my cat taken off me. tried phoning police and their website - but can't get through. I have the old DVLA V5c, emails about the swap, new insurance details etc.

I would just take the old V5, proof that DVLA are processing the plate transfer and proof of insurance under the new plate.
I seem to recall the last plate transfer I did updated on DVLA within 24 hours.1 -

Don’t worry to much, when was the last time you saw a cop on the road. An open police station ?.
Last time I got stopped they said I had no mot or insurance, and said they would tow the car.
I ask witch one of them was the idiot ?.
Did not go down well with them.
I have a tracker that sends me a bill per mile. When they stopped me it billed me for the 2 miles I had driven, mot was done that day and had 13 months to run.
Turns out they could not read or spell and entered the wrong reg.

I went to 11 local police station to show that travel was essential for me to visit my disabled clients.
Plus within the law and covid regulations.
All around their areas.
In the first 3 month I got stopped over 30 times and even with paperwork stating I’m allowed to travel for work I got 13 fines.
My boss took all the tickets to court and won.
So yes I have a bad attitude to the blue line gang. And no respect as they don’t respect the law.1 -

FYI - checked the system this morning and both have updated - so both my car and my cat (if I had one) are safe now3
