Hairdressers or Barbers for teen son’s haircut

My husband wants our son (13 years old) to go to his barbers for his haircuts from now on but I think he should keep going to my hairdressers because she knows how to do it properly.
Who’s right here because we’ve had a argument about it? What do your teen son’s do?
My sons hair is slightly longer than most boys hair so that’s also another reason why I think my hairdresser should keep on doing it

Certainly not something for an argument in most cases, you just talk about it.
Ask your son where he wants to go.
Toss a coin.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....5 -

I guess it depends on what your son wants? When mine was 13 I took him to the barbers but he was too shy to say what or how he wanted it so I had to be there with him. If he wants to keep it longer then maybe the hairdressers is better?

Hardly worth an argument. How about giving your son the choice?Amyisalwayshappy said:Who’s right here because we’ve had a argument about it?
Slightly longer hair is hardly something that a barber cannot deal with.Amyisalwayshappy said:My sons hair is slightly longer than most boys hair so that’s also another reason why I think my hairdresser should keep on doing it1 -
Let your son make his own choice. Not worth arguing about

Wow what a discussion to have. Is your husband so macho that he would not set foot in a hairdressers? At thirtenn your son should make up his own mindas to where he feels comfortable and a lot of older barbers might feel old fashionned and intimidating.0

I think it rather depends on the barber. If it's an old fashioned place that can only do one style then I wouldn't encourage your son to go there.
Where I live there are all sorts of great barbers to choose from including Turkish and Afro specialists and others where it's far more like an experience than the old barber shops used to be.
Where do his friends go? Maybe your son would like to choose somewhere other than your hairdresser or his dad's barber? Maybe he'd like to take himself off or go with friends? Does he really love the style he has now or is it one you've chosen for him?
When my children were that age, we gave them a monthly allowance to manage and the cost of having their hair done was included.5 -
13 is old enough to let you know which he prefers.
As he is a boy likely prefers barbers.
As a female, I feel more comfortable going to hairdressers.1 -
