Hoover ovens, 10 months old, still not repaired

Options
Hello there! I'm after a little advice about my two hoover ovens (HOC3UB5858BI)

  • I purchased these back in January.
  • In October, one of the ovens would just shoot up to 240c on the dial, even if set to 160c.
  • A day before the engineer came out, the other oven started to do the same thing.
  • The next day, the engineer came and said he'd replaced the thermostat, he also sprayed the contacts on the other oven as I mentioned it was doing the same thing.
  • A couple of days later the oven started doing it again, then the day after the other oven did too.
  • I phoned hoover, they booked in for another engineer visit for both ovens.
  • Today the engineer arrived, he said he was only given the job to look at one oven. He took the serial numbers down for both ovens, went into his van, came back, and said "I need to order a new panel for them, but we don't have any, I don't know how long it will take". I said I would speak to hoover. Then he said "I think you are due a replacement if they haven't sorted it within 6 weeks".
I was just after some guidance on how to proceed here, what my rights are, and what I should be saying to hoover when I phone them

Thank you for listening!

Did you buy the ovens directly from Hoover?   If not, you should contact the seller.

Hi. I bought it from AO. I can't remember but they told me to contact hoover, which I did.

If I do contact them, what is the best approach?

Warranty the manufacturer , subject to any conditions they want .
Your rights , the law Consumer Rights are against the vendor .

As you have already spoken to AO and they used the Hoover Warrantee as their route to attempt repair, and this has failed, you should contact AO, tell them this and ask for a refund.
