Good morning. it looks damp and dreary this morning, so was yesterday.Sorry to hear you've got Covid NMLC, hope you'll soon feel better. Our hairdresser txtd yesterday to say she was cancelling our appt for this morning, as she'd had to take a test, her son's girlfriend had Covid. She herself has had all her vaccs, anyway she txtd back last night to say she was negative, so we could go for our hairdos.I was busy about the house yesterday, home all day after visiting a friend who lives nearby.Nothing else going on here, so hope everyone will have a good day, thinking about our poorly people and those struggling with life generallyTake care folks14

Morning All
Still cold but dry, the fire was on all day again yesterday but had to put the heating on for a while in the afternoon, it seemed to get a lot colder.
Washing up to date, poor machine has been doing overtime, no doubt it will have to work hard once the visitors are here too. Still keeping my fingers crossed that DS2 had his DP can travel.
Sorry you are a positive household nmlc, take it easy and get well soon.
Thinking of those with troubles.
Two more days for me then I can relax, really hoping most of the parents see sense and keep their children home this week.
Take care. XX13 -
Morning folks. Thanks for starting us off Scarlet - good news about your hair appointment.Camelot - 🤞🤞
Yesterday I was overwhelmed by tiredness, did very little and retired to bed extremely early. Did a LFT just in case but it was negative. It's probably because I had such a long and busy time in Glasgow. In the afternoon the chap up the hill's wife called round with a tiny Christmas tree she'd bought for me in Tes^o, a kind thought even though I didn't want a tree. Anyway, we had a lovely chat.Today I'm got sore sinuses, they are like that because of the paint fumes from the stove. I get the same reaction to fresh paint, rape fields and even the smell of those gorgeous lilies so I'm not too surprised.Today I plan to cook red cabbage ready for Christmas lunch. It's a traditional German side dish and always tastes better for being made in advance. No doubt I'll end up with stained fingers and bits of cabbage everywhere unless I bring out the processor. I'll also change the bed linen which I didn't do yesterday. 🤭

Morning all
Cold here and its raining a little bit meant to dry up for the rest of the day I think. Off to work for me and only two days left then I have finished for two weeks, I shall be glad of the break as I need a rest.
Beef casserole for dinner tonight with some crusty bread and butter I shall put it in the sc before work and I will put dd's in the oven once I get home as hers is much quicker to cook than ours.
I will put a wash on before I go there seems to be a backlog of dog bedding to wash so want to get that done. DW needs emptying too.
The clients will be hyper this week they are getting so excited for Christmas, they would normally have a big party with them all getting together but sadly not for the last few years, its so sad for them.
NRA thinking of you and your dear dad xxx

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for kicking off. We have had this blooming fog hanging around for days. It was particularly bad yesterday then lifted in the evening but blow me it's back again this morning. I had the heating on all day, it never got warm.
Although DS, DD and the girls and I plan to be together over Christmas we all decided to do an early present swap yesterday, just in case! With Omicron spreading like wildfire who knows what Christmas holds for us all. DS's stepson tested positive on Friday though the rest of them remain negative. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
I did intend popping down town this morning for a couple of bits but now wondering if I cba! Will see what I feel like when its daylight!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or just p'd off. Thinking of NRA and her DD. Take care one and all and stay safe xx

Morning everyone,
Very jealous of your farmers market csarina. Nothing like that here – just stalls selling batteries and socks ☹
Sorry to hear nmlc and family are unwell – hope symptoms are not too bad and you’re better soon x
Gers – I will be making red cabbage in some form this year. Not made it before, so thanks for the tip to make in advance.
I saw the new D!sney movie yesterday. Only 8 of us in the cinema and 5 of those were children. I felt very indulgent seeing a movie during the day and enjoyed a nice C0sta coffee and a small box of P0ppets 😊 The movie is very colourful and the animation is amazing.
The fajitas went down well, and some leftover for today which I expect DS2 will snaffle – he was at a gig last night. Pork stir fry tonight.
We watched the new BBC drama last night – second episode later. Nothing like a psychological thriller to warm your cockles for Christmas.
Washing to go on today and I have my booster at lunchtime so DD will drop me off and I’ll walk back. Could do with the exercise!
Thinking of NRA, poppy and anyone else going through a tough time x
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Hi everyone,
NMLC, I hope your family have mild doses of Covid.
Steve and I are both up with Esben who is slowly wreaking havoc in the living room. He opened his presents from us and Chris and Crystal so that they don't have to take them to Glasgow when they go and as a result the room contains two train sets, the old Brio wooden set that lives here and is nearly 40 years old and a duplo one Chris and Crystal gave him. There are little pieces everywhere.
The men played golf yesterday so Laura and I took Esben and Ziggy out and I managed to injure my Achilles tendon again, very frustrating as it was getting better slowly.
Have a good day all.13 -

Morning all. Camelot, yes, it did get a bit cold yesterday. We had lots of fog for a change, we don't see it very often. We've done Christmas with friends, now it'll just be us two and maybe a visit to OHs mum depending on what happens. One of my friends sons caught covid the week before last, her other son has it now [ not the Christmas friends, another set] so she's a bit gutted, they won't be seeing her family as her stepdad is currently having treatment. It's just rife. Got my hire vehicle, no cars, it's a van, so charity shop drop off, clothes selling, soft plastic recycling and visit to farm butchers on the cards today, and then that should be it. I was out for a long time on Saturday, going hither and thither, I was pooped, and then tidying, cleaning and making the house look semi presentable yesterday before they came was enough to finish me and my ankle off last night. The tree smells lovely though.NRA, I'm sorry about your dad, what absolute rubbish news, and a hard thing to come to terms with. Gers, your community sounds lovely with people looking out for each other. dp1, your dg is a sneaky little thing isn't she? made me smile again
Izzy, hope your new windows go without a hitch. Coxy, oh no, you didn't! at the panto...[Sorry, couldn't resist
] snoozer, hope it improves quickly! Time for breakfast so have a good day whatever you're doing and get well soon if you aren't that well...
