I have opened a tin of black beans thinking they were kidney beans. I have no idea what I can do with them now or if they will keep in the fridge. Any suggestions please? I have already made my chilli and used a tin of kidney beans!

We use them in with the rice in burrito bowls. If you don't get any suggestions that float your boat, flat freeze them in a bag. Then you can add a handful to soups.1

Black bean burgers ...yum
I used to make for a veggie friend when non veggies had the meat version. I ended up preferring them to normal burgers

I'd just add them to the your chilli. It'll go further and you can freeze any leftovers. Perfect for a quick lunch on a jacket potato.
I often make a veggie chilli using my usual chilli con carne recipe (Hairy Bikers) but leaving out the meat and adding 2 extra tins of various beans. As we're not veggie I still use beef stock for a meaty flavour. 😋2 -
I use them in huevos rancheros, can be veggie or not - sweat onions and garlic, add tin of cchopped tomatoes, chilli powder or flakes or paste, smoked paprika, oregano, and your black beans. If not veggie then fry off some chunks of chorizo or cooking bacon and add to the sauce. Once thickened up, make wells to drop eggs in to poach with the lid on for a few minutes. Serve with crusty bread/tortillas/rice etc2

Love black beans, in fact I used them in rice and peppers yesterday.
We use beans quite a lot as protein to reduce meat in our meals but black beans are my favourite.
If you google black bean recipes you will find loads.1 -
In my opinion black beans are the nicest bean, you could have put them in your chilli.
Tbh you can add any bean to your chilli they are just a filler and the chilli flavour takes over what ever you add anywayVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later1 -
