Klarna soft search

In Nov 2019 I used Klarna for the first time for a buy now pay later purchase. The account was paid as per the agreement, no missed payments etc. I then closed my account and haven’t used them since.
Although I know soft credit searches don’t harm your credit file, I can’t understand why nearly 2 years later I’m still being subjected for up to 17 soft searches each month.
I have contacted Klarna who confirms my account was closed in April 2020, I have asked under GDPR for the right to be forgotten which was actioned in Feb 2021, they state that they need to keep some details under Swedish banking laws but has been processed otherwise.
I contacted Klarna again in Nov 2021 regarding the ongoing soft searches and I’m now being ignored.
What can I do next? I want the soft searches to stop, there’s no reason for Klarna to keep checking me and it’s becoming quite annoying! I’m due to renew my mortgage in April and would like my credit file to be as clear as possible.

It'll have no impact on your mortgage application.
If you've exercised your right to erasure, it means you can go back onto their database as a prospect. Better to ask them to stop processing.
However, it's nothing to worry about, either way.0 -
Thanks zx81, I have asked them to stop processing as well and was told that would happen when I closed the account. I know it won’t have any impact but I just can’t see why it’s still happening, feels invasive to continually check someone’s account when they are no longer a customer!0

Weirdly, I applied for Klarna for 0% on a new phone rather than paying up front, because why not save the money for a bit, they gave me an account but not enough credit for the phone, such is life. I paid the phone and closed the account. Randomly they sent me a £20 Amazon voucher as an apology and I don't really know what for, not complaining though and they seem to have stopped searching me since the application and closure
