HELP PLEASE

Options
I started a post about Velcro and curtains and Velcro
I ordered what I thought was single sided tape
I need Velcro that is just stick and  a rough side Not hook and loop.
I did read the review by a couple of people who said what they received was a tatty bag which said Velcro and hook and loop.
That is what I received a squashed box saying Velcro and hook and loop.
I need to buy single buy tape that just sticks to.the UPVC frame and then the rough side I would simply stick the curtain to. The curtain came down again last night
Just one of the 4
Trying to.place an order a lot day hook.and loop
Can anyone.help by looking and trying to suggest one that would simply have sticky one side only.  I am house bound at the moment do can't get to a shop where I can buy such.tape. it exists ax this is what the curtain used
She has made curtains for me for years She comes measures up and then comes and hangs them.  When the curtain fell down on Tuesday and I called her she was very curt Said I am too busy just stick it with.super glue.
I have given her  lot of business over the years and recommended her to friends and other people and she is very good normally
She had had a hip replacement and works at the moment with a man who actually hangs the curtain
Maybe I could get someone to go to a shop and get what I need . I have got glue on order due for delivery on Tuesday.
I think.I.am Going to.do that as I.cant have my family coming to see me.
My granddaughter is at a University of Bristol The student she shares  a flat with tested positive for Covid on Friday. Becky was negative and again negative yesterday's
She was due to come home by train today but her Dad went yesterday and brought her home to Harrogate.  She needs just one  more negative test . I am.almost 80 and none of them want to.come here as with a heart condition I also  live in a retirement property so all are
Vulnerable.
Can anyone help please
There are dozens and dozens of tape but  a lot are saying  loop.and hook.
What I got was a damaged box that said Velcro and nowhere did it say hook and loop Others are saying they received the same but it like me it is the.wrong product that they saying Velcro I.
Will be returning it but I know it is out
there what I need.
Sorry this is incoherent and apologise

I am a litte confused as to what you want.  Velcro is the trade name for a hook and loop style tape.  Anything that isn't Velcro that works the same way cannot call itself Velcro.

By the sounds of it, you have one side of the Velcro on your curtain and the other needs to go on your window frame?  If that is the case, then look at the curtain and work out if that is the hook or the loop side.  If it is loop then the hook side needs to be put on your frame.  You will need to make sure you are buying a Velcro that is self adhesive as you need to stick it to the frame.  I wouldn't want to be using Superglue.

How much (length) and width do you need ?
Ping me a PM with the details - I have some odd lengths of Velcro knocking about (in black, maybe some white).

As you live in a retirement home, is there anyone there such as a handyman who could come and advise - or even do it for you?

Since I last posted I messaged the lady who.mskes my curtain
What I need is hook side adhesive Velcro she says Velcro
That goes on to the windows frame and then put the curtain on to the frame.
I have done it lots and lots of timex over the 23 years I have lived on apartments for the over
    55's. Since I was 56.
The shop where I normally but the tape but often they produce the more usual one
I will ring the shop in the morning and make sure she knows exactly what I want and need.  I.am.going.to.buy the black one
The white I used for many.many.years with no problem. For the past.say 12-18 months when I bought the tape it did not adhere as before
My granddaughter shared a flat in.Bristol.tested positive for Covid on Friday Becky was negative LGt

Would the person who runs the shop drop it by for you?
If you're not too far away our local habadasher did that during lockdown. You paid over the phone by card and they dropped the bag through the letter box.

They probably would .I was sewing for the NHS making laundry bags and thousands of masks.
I was a midwife for many years.
Were I younger and fitter I would have loved to join the vaccination army.
From I was aged 6 it was all I ever wanted to do. To treat and care for every single person the way I would want anyone I loved to be cared.for

This is what I get from the people on these forums . You don't know me buy you show a willingness and I thank you.

I have a large box of velcro that I use to stick my frame samples to a material wall.
It has 2 rolls in it, 1 of the rough hook side, and 1 of the softer loop side. Both are sticky on the back when I peel off the paper.
I only ever use the rough hook side so I end up with a whole roll of the loop side that I don't need. I would be happy to send you the loop roll although it sounds as though you need the hook side.
I'm not sure that I would trust the adhesive on the back to hold up a curtain. I actually staple mine on to the frame samples because I'm sticking onto wood and they are quite heavy, so the glue doesn't last very long. It sounds as though this is what has happened to you.
If you use Amazon I've found this heavy duty velcro which might suit you better:

Just had a rummage - Got some white 3/4" wide self adhesive hook & loop (Velcro) about 46" in length.

If you're in Harrogate (you mention your Granddaughter coming home to Harrogate) I bet you could get it at Remnant House on Commercial street, or at Duttons - if you ordered, could someone collect for you?
It sounds like you need the self-adhesive hook side of Velcro.  The glue doesn't seem to last forever - last time I stuck a pelmet up with it I used staples as well.
