Here is a possibly radical and off the wall suggestion.swan6060 said:I want to rent a car for a day for some travelling. Where can i do that? And also, what would be the minimum price? If anyone knows, can you please share some insights.
Try contacting car rental firms local to you.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".7 -
Pick up the phone, call and they will tell you. There crystal ball is better than mine.0

Try autoeurope or similar as a starting point. Will give you a various options.
! day car hire isn't very exciting for them so you probably won't get the best best deals around. Also try avoiding airports they tend to be more expensive

Wow, just wow this was for Birmingham city centre next week. These prices are crazy. possibly because it is Christmas week.

This is a bit better. For second week in January still not that cheap. Try adding days to it and see what happens. Extend your trip? By the way I wouldn't rent from Easirent without doing a thorough check of their reviews!

You seem to be comparing rental for over a month in your first post and for one day in the second, which seems a bit of an odd thing to do. Did you in fact mean to put December 30th as the return date in your first post? if you do I'd expect you to get more comparable figures.Flight3287462 said:Wow, just wow this was for Birmingham city centre next week. Dont know where Flight3287462 is getting his prices from. I just looked on Volkswagen Finanical Services car erental website (as it happens I saw an add on instagram) and hiring a Polo for 1 day this week is £58.72

There are car rental aggregators like holidayautos.com and carrentals.com that will give you prices from a number of rental companies. They are a good place to start. Look out for large excesses on the insurance and buy top up cover from direct-carexcess.com.
