Relinquishing Timeshare in Florida

TBH, I'd have thought the outcome depends whether the timeshare company recover all the money they're owed through foreclosure.
i.e. The timeshare will probably be sold at auction. If the proceeds of the auction cover all the outstanding maintenance fees, I guess the matter is closed.
But if the proceeds don't cover the outstanding maintenance fees, I'd have thought that the Timeshare company would chase the estate for the balance of the maintenance fees. If the estate pays the balance, I guess that would close the matter.
(That's more or less how things would work in the UK, but maybe things are different in the US.)
