We put a offer on a house and was 6m away from the property we actually pulled out but not for the Japanese knotweed. Our mortgage company did however did give us a mortgage offer once the person living there got a report regarding it and 5 year treatment plan with insurance and lifetime guarantee thing.Hope this helps. But I would declare it on the ad to save anyone who is put off by it. It will be easier on new year when RICS reveal their new guidance stating mortgage companies do not need to be told unless less than 3m away.1

I can't blame them pulling out. Maybe they can find a cash buyer and potentially offer a large discount...0
