Slimline bath filler and overflow

Hi All,
I’d be really grateful if anyone could help advise me please?
I’m keen to install a combined bath filler/overflow/waste. I found the Dornbracht and Crosswater slimline ones which don’t protrude much into the bath, whereas almost all the others on the market stick out 2-3 times as far (e.g. 30-45mm).
Do the slimline ones have an inferior performance? Do they have a smaller diameter hole and lower fill rate?
Thanks in advance for any help! It’s really appreciated.
Best wishes,
James

No, if you are on a high pressure system e.g. combi or unvented cylinder anything will work but if you are on a gravity hot water system make sure that you use an appropriate valve. I fitted a filler one like in the link to mine and it works fine. When I was looking I found the same thing being sold for up to £130 by 'brands' but I paid c.£40 (many companies just put their own brand name to a generic product made by someone else).

Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.0 -
Some of the ones that stick out more, incorporate the pop up waste mechanism. Clicker type waste can be bothersome when laying in the bath and your heel taps the clicker
draining the water out
Even more bothersome if the bath tub is used for showering, standing on the clicker
Vado make a quality filler with pop up, were around £200 last time i purchasedFitted a few.

Personally I don't like pop up wastes on baths with a shower over as I have been to jobs where someone has stood on it and broken the mechanism which is impossible to replace where the overflow control has been fitted against the wall rather than the panel.Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.1 -
